I had an interesting experience in a new sex shop designed for women. I started looking at the panties and lingerie and wanted to try some panties on. The cute salesgirl came over and helped me pick out the right size and said to take them into the dressing room. There were three or four women there at the time. Anyhow, I went in, closed the curtain, and slipped them on over my own panties. They fit nice so I decided to take all three pairs. When I came out, the salesgirl and three customers were all just outside the dressing room giggling and smiling. One asked if they fit and when i said yes, they all giggled and wanted to see. I was just too embarrassed so I just paid. As I left, one customer said I would look so cute in the pink ones. I left but sure wish I'd showed off to them. I'll go back again soon. Would anyone else have shown off their new panties in a public store?

The manager at the Catherine's store that I shop at allows me to come in early on Sunday's, when she is opening. The last time I did that I tried on a cute nightie, and she wanted to see how it looked on me, so I came out and modeled it for her. This is a wonderful place to shop, although their selection is not really very good. I also have gotten severl nice things at The Avenue store, and once again have been seen wearing nothing but my panties by several of the girls there. I buy most of my panties from that store, s they have a wider gusset than the panties at Catherine's. I have recently done some shopping at the locan Lane Bryant/Cacique store, but have not had the opportunity to try on items there. They are in the mall, instead of being a sote set alone from the others, and is very busy. They have told me that they will allow me to tryi on items, if it is not too busy, but since women are their regular customers, they have to limit my trying things on to when there are only one or two women in the store, which I understand completely.[/i]

Hi all,
I'm a traditional department store shopper - watch for the sales; seems most times I'm out shopping for new panties, I must look befuddled looking thru the racks for size/color I want. The salesgirls/women can be rather helpful as they come over and ask if they can help me find what I'm looking for - inevitable they ask what size am i looking for - seems I most always "slip" and say something like I wear a 7 or some such thing - the smirky smile or slight giggle is awesome as they often try to maintain some professionalism - "and what color do you like? LOL Awesome times

A couple of weeks ago I tried a new store it was mostly for plus size big they had a geart shiny panty selection. the clerk about 40 and a kinda big girl. I always get a rush when shopping for panties and thongs. While I have been met with some negative responses from the women both behind the counter and customers, I have had some pleasant surprises as well. I think a lot depends on how you handle yourself and how well you can read her reaction. I first started shopping for panties in my early 20s. After several browsing trips I gained more confidence and engaged the sales woman, who turned out to be the manager, in conversation. After several more trips I finally admitted to her that I was not shopping for my girlfriend, but for my self. After a few moments of awkward silence she motioned me over to the counter and offered to order men's thongs from several catalogs she kept by the register. I sheepishly explained to her that I preferred woman's panties for the selection of styles, colors and materials. Well, that was the beginning of a wonderful friendship with my first panty playmate. In my country, people are still not so 'open' to man wearing panties & buying panties. On a few occasions when I was shopping @ the local store, I can see the salegals and other customers giving me the 'pervert' look.

I do have a few nice shopping experience, when I bluff that I was shopping for my gf and the friendly salegals help to give recommendation, praise that I am such a 'sweet' guy and we had a nice chat. In order to have a good shopping experience locally, I always have a imaginary gf when I walked into the store.

The first time a salegal asked whether I was buying for myself was in Bangkok. I was quite shocked and I lie again... most salegals in BKK were very friendly and helpful. I believe they will let me try in the fitting room if I had asked! Maybe I should do that for my next trip!

Suffering from withdrawal syndrome @ the moment. I used to enjoyed very much the shopping experience. I used to shop at least once a month and even more during the SALE period. The last time I had shopped was more than 1 year ago. Seems to have lost courage to do it ...

its not oly a bit of a thrill but ,you have to know what you want so you dont get stuck with those panties too snall as well as the fabric .it makes for a waste of time as well as putting you out there in the isles of lingerie ,personaly i dont have a problem with the walk through but when you see what you like buy it and its on and every-one knows whats up so i just go with the flow ...as some people get to have some extra fun in the bathroom thats the best ive herd as this i love to buy lingerie and once im in im in what size help please its just fun and rush is good as well they know whats going on even at valintines day so go big with that purchace it could be your only stop till next year .

Love buying panties in person with help from understanding fems. Ialways admit the panties and lingerie are for me and occasionally have nice conversations about why and what I like about them. Most clerks even allow me try to things on and some even ask if they can see how I look. I occasionalyy purchase on-line as well but there's nothing quite like the thrill of shopping in person and the interactions that occur.

Wow! You guys have some great stories about buying panties!

I used to look in the "empty" washers and dryers to see if I was lucky enough to find my size that someone missed or dropped back in and haven't returned for them back when I lived in the apartments with my grandma, but back then they were strictly to sleep in, now I buy my own..I haven't openly bought for myself but have managed to use the "v-day gift for gf" (which I am currently single and don't plan on changing that until I finish building my street legal rally racing Eclipse) and the "my teenage step-sister got a new puppy and new puppy chewed them up because she left them in the floor, I've told her to keep her room clean, she wanted me to get them on my lunch break since I work at Wal-Mart so she wouldn't get in trouble again for not keeping her room clean" excuse...both times inside I was nervous as hell (The Falls is full of some judgmental people). A large chunk of my "starter" pack of panties was ordered off of Wal-Mart.com, all are online only deals except for a 3-pack of BFP seamless hipsters, and all are my "default" size (it's been the one size that has been more or less a consistent fit over the last 5 years even though my pant size has varied 1"-2" +/- from a 34" pair of jeans) so I can get a feel of different cuts and brands then adjust the size (rebuy in new size then sell old size here) as need so I can keep them in rotation. My starter pack includes the BFP hipsters along with FOTL low rise hipsters 2-pk, FOTL boyshorts 2-pk, FOTL thongs 2-pk, BFP thongs 2-pk and NoBo boyleg tanga's 3-pk, and NoBo thongs 3-pk, this is all I've purchased since New Year's Eve (guess you could say my NYR was to finally make the dive into the world of full time panty wearing, even though I haven't made any conscious NYR's ever)

I have been buying panties in stores such as Thrift Stores and finally got the nerve to buy them in Victoria's Secret, Kohls, Walmart, Target, Burlington, Ross, TJMAxx. Always a rush taking them to the counter to pay and see if the salespersons reactions. Have had some great conversations with them at times.:)
