So I gotta be honest. Victoria's Secret used to be my number one favorite place for undies. But when they changed the signature cotton line, I became a little unhappy, and lately haven't even looked in a VS store, and its because of the exact problem the company CEO just recently nailed the head of: everything at VS is "too" sexy. They've gone from making cute and durable undies to catering exclusively to the 16-25 year old girl whos 5'3'' and weighs 120 lbs.

Lately, however, they've launched a new campaign to get some of their old customers back and that means changing some of the lines a bit. That is why we now have the "classic thong" again instead of that low rise shit. But I recently made a purchase of one of these new styles and may have found my new favorite panty: the "stretch girl boxer" in the cotton line. It fits PERFECT, is soft, and the waistband sits perfectly above a waistband to show off! I know VS has gone downhill lately but I would at least give these panties two thumbs up, and if you're a VS fan, you'll dig these for sure. My ONE and only complaint is the waistband is not signature, but regardless, its still a fantastic panty!

i -love- their rio brief cotton panties but they only make them in solid colors, i would like them to make them in prints (like the tiger/zebra or whatever :-p)

i dont like the pink line much, everything is cut way too small in the front. i really like pink string bikinis, but i have to be soft, like, stepped out of a cold river and significant shrinkage may occur soft, for them to fit......

size M, classic cotton, low rise v-strings are still my absolute favorite!

VS doesn't give a damn about their customers anymore and it's a shame. Everything is driven by the dollar. They cater to the college and younger crowd, I sent them a few email about their current policy and the lines that they are carrying and got back a generic bs response. A few months ago I purchased sone of the Second skin satin panties online and the quality of the new sss are terrible. They do not carry this line in the stores either. They also came out with the starlet panties as well and are not carried in stores. I'll take my money elsewhere!!

^ i agree....

I really love the Ambrielle line from JC Penny. It's not the best of quality but the price is always right, and the selection is great. The "Optimum Body Demi" bra is my absolute new favorite bra, hands down, and they're panty selection is always great.

Other than the typical brands you see at all the stores, ie, Maidenform, Jockey, Vanity Fair, etc, I am always wary of the quality of store brands. There are some that aren't too bad, "Cabaret"/Dillars, "Alfani Underneath"/Macy's, but some of the other big box stores put out some real crap. When St Eve was appropriated as the Kohls line, the quality went waaaaay downhill, as did the "Candies" brand. Joe Boxer also suffered, as do the Sears and Mervyn's brands. It's really a visible correlation with the stores themselves, the "nicer" of a big box stores are the nicer quality. Like, Kohl's is pretty cheap shit, and so is St Eve. JC Penny/Ambrielle is middle of the road, and Macy's Alfani is pretty good.

Just my opinion. I guess I am biased towards Ambrielle but what are you gonna do.
