I've currently uploaded 10 pics so far, but haven't been upgraded to VIP. I was wondering if it should happen pretty much straight away or will I have to wait for a mod/admin to add my account to the list?

You have to wait for the pics to be approved, only happens Monday to Friday, then the weekly script runs every Sunday and takes into account pics contributed
