| i know a size 8 in the U.S. is fairly big as it will take i think a maximum of a 38 or 40" waiste or something.

ps a size 8 in the uk is very small here. we work up in numbers ie 6 8 10 12 14 16 18 the higher the number the bigger the panty are.
