They might pass a Breathalyzer test, but not a blood test.

If they were pulled over, and depending on how much they had used, they would indicate during a Breathalyzer or blood analysis that they had been drinking. Once the alcohol is in the blood stream it is metabolized in the same way as drinking. I learned of this from a friend of mine who is a police officer.
