A couple years ago, well into my middle years, I abandoned my life-long habit of "briefs" in favor of the more relaxed and cooler boxers shrots. Shortly after that, the new buzz words on prime-time TV were jests about guys who wear "tighty whities." Maybe President Bill Clinton launched the attacks by announcing to the world on Letterman that the President of the US wears boxers. Then when Bob Dole, then an announced candidate for President was asked whether he prefers boxers or briefs, with a twinkle in his eye, Dole gave his great one-word answer... "Depends."
But the issue raises a wonderful question in my mind. Why is it that we see women wearing briefs (the tighter and whiter the better) as sexy and desireable, yet we view men wearing briefs and clods and not at all sexy. Skip the anatomical observations -- I got that years ago -- but why is Wayne Rogers an unsexy country bumpkin running around the racetrack in his skivvies, but Bo Derrick doing the same would be cooler than a popsicle at the South Pole?

Good point and well-stated, my friend.
Yes, I am forever in love with the silky feel, and especially the breath-taking view of nylon stretched tightly across the beautiful nether-regions of m'lady.
But my question is why, since we find this so attractive on our partners, do we find it such a jest /humiliation for us to wrap material tightly across -- and thus accentuate -- the male sexual organ? Is it us males (perhaps being afraid we don't measure up to the Johnny Wads of the world? Or is it our females, tired of the male braggardocio who have made "tighty Whiteys" the butt of ridicule?
