I usually wear a size 7 but lately I've been enjoying size 9. More panty material is always good. How about you?

I have settled on UK size 12. 10s are too small and tight and I get 'ball drop'. 14s are too big and loose and fall down.

I remember being assisted in Debenhams in London by a sales lady who told me that size 14 was “frankly big”. I said “They are for me!” This prompted a measure of mirth from other women shopping there. The sales lady reddened, which was enchanting, and said “Well, that’s it, then, isn’t it?” and carried on helping me.

It did me a power of good because I draw a lot of strength from female inclusiveness. Despite the fact that panty buying and crossdressing is perfectly legal, buyimg them can go several ways. Older ladies can be shocked/disgusted, or pointedly indifferent. I realised some still think wearing ladies’ clothing means you want to be female when it can just be a lifestyle statement. Younger women can be helpful and give some good advice about what is nice to wear. Other younger women can treat it like a joke, “Ok, big knickers today, then!” Or how about the magisterial “better not be thinking about me when you put these on!!”

Actually, size 14 isn’t that big, I have met ladies who were size 16, for example. A Dutch woman told me that size 16 was petite in the Netherlands. She let me try on one of her miniskirts which she still had and I looked nice in it. When wearing a miniskirt your panties just are going to show, and what is a lot of fun is the act of deliberately choosing on the basis that they are going to be seen when you go out. (I still think that that sounds so hedonistic.) And girls are so helpful!!! You can go for tight material, or baggy which will not follow your shape so much. You can go for taut leg elastication, or looser which allows for ruffles or frills. Or you can wear a thong which can look as though you are not wearing panties - however, for men it is better to clearly have panties on rather than have anyone think you have gone commando with a bare bottom.

In fact, size 14 is used for dress size as well as panties. I read an interesting article featuring a Size 14 dress, being worn by about six different women. The dress looked different on all of them because their figures were all different, but they all looked really good in the same dress. Same with panties, I guess, it’s all an approximation and it’s whatever you find best for you.

I wear a size 12 thong on the recommendation of a lady friend who loaned me a pair and she was bang on. A fabulously erotic feel, I had so much fun and I was just walking around. Well, this comment got duplicated! So I thought I’d write a bit more.

I am proud of maintaining a size 14. However, I wasn’t always knowingly that size.

Starting off, when hip size was offered in inches for panties, I bought skimpy, tight fashionable ones in 34”-36”, and less fashionable ones in 34”-38”. The latter ones were usually in combed cotton rather than seethrough nylon and seemed to stretch more and be more comfortable for all-day wear, I thought. Talking about this made some girls I knew giggle. I was with a group of them and we were relaxing, no men around and girls only, and we had undressed down to tops and panties. One of them had been listening to me and said that she noticed the panties I was wearing, just like a pair of hers and would I like to try them on as I might find it interesting. This prompted interested girly cries of “Ooh yes, put them on and let’s see!”. The ladywas Nikki, so it was a pair of Nikki’s knickers. Oh, please yourselves.

Anyway, hers and mine were white combed cotton with no side seams, and a polyester front panel with a beautiful embroidered floral pattern. Oh, and blue piping around the waist and legs. Beautiful. Hers had 38”-40” on the label, and they slipped on easily. They just were so comfortable! It was no effort to wear them at all, which I told them. They said “you can wear them as tight as you like, that’s fine with us, but we girlies like our comfort too.” It was the first occasion I’d had to have a group chat about sizing which was just friendly and not critical, because they knew I got easily upset and withdrew from company when I really needed to be with women more.

Size 38”-40” is size 14! Effectively anyway, depending on which chart you use, it could be 39”-41”, for example. There is five and take, but being advised to “think big” was really kind, and elegant and tasteful as you would expect from ladies.

It remains, though, that smaller thongs fit better! I will write about that at some point because it can seem surprising, but I believe it is very interesting.
