Almost busted...need help with excuse....NEED HELP ASAP

I've been a collector for quite a few years, actually I have bought my own for 10years. My wife knows I'm into panties, she let me have a few pair that were too big for her or matched but isn't really into it or supporting my habit, I've even spent some time trying to find some passable mens underwear...currently she is letting me wear BBV microfibers but I told her they were mens that I bought off of the internet.
Well this last weekend while staying at the cottage I found a pair of lace panties...hhhhmmmm, they were not my wife's, maybe from another guest in the past.
So I snagged them and threw them in my bag for later.
We got home late on Sunday night and basically fell into bed exhausted....by the time I woke up this morning the wife was gone and had unpacked my bag (oh no!) until that moment I completely forgot about them. She took the lace panties and put them in my drawer with my other undies (I have a few other panties mixed in my man drawers) from earlier panty play and purchases that she is aware of.

Before she asks....how do I explain I got these?
I have couple of excuses I could use.......I recently vacationed with my parents and my mom could have mixed them with my laundry. My mother in law recently did our laundry and they could have gotten mixed in. I could always say I thought they were my wives?...when I found them at the cottage I just inadvertantely threw them in with my clothes instead of hers.
I can probably delay for a day or two and just play like I didn't see them, they are in the back of the drawer.
Opening up to her and telling her about my addiction won't work she isn't supportive of it and would probably label me a freak and want nothing to do with me (in bed) again. If I showed her my cache she would probably freak out, I have more undies than she does.

any suggestions as to how these ended up in my possession?

Maybe buy some off ebay for your wife and mix your stash in with them. Tell her you think that some of her panties are in need of replacing. Worked for me.
