I think I had just the one suspender belt that had straps at the front and back. I was usually only shown four-strap ones with straps at the front and both sides. I tried wearing the belt with straps at the front and back, because the sales lady said there was a matching pair of knickers which I also bought, but didn’t like so much now my stocking tops looked when the studs were fastened to the welts. I have never seen nor been offered six strap belts, I don’t know if that would make a difference to how the stockings would respond. But straps at the front and sides seem to do a good job. I wear mostly pantyhose these days anyway - I have conformed!
